Hello Spring!

When we first started home brewing in London we were using some hops grown in our back garden. The hops recently started poking their shoots through the grass again so we dug a few up and have planted them outside the brewery along with some hops given to us by @HackneyHopGrow. Fingers crossed for a fine summer and come September you might just see a green-hopped beer with the most locally sourced hops possible!

Meet The Brewer At The Royal Standard, Blackheath

It’s been a busy few months for us and to kick off the new year we’ve been invited down to the Royal Standard in Blackheath for a meet the brewer session.

Pete will be there from around 6:30pm on Wednesday 23rd Jan for a short talk on the brewing process and the beers we make – also available at the bar! He’ll be around for a while to answer questions about the brewery or just for a chat about beer.

Grab a beer and dinner at Dalston Emporium with Franchini & Figli!

This Friday night, 9th November, Dalston Emporium will be hosting an evening of Hackney Brewery beer and Franchini and Figli food.

It all kicks off at 7pm and will carry on until late. We’ll have our beer on tap alongside delicious Franchini and Figli smoked beef sandwiches (vege option available) as seen in good local markets and now available via hubbub.co.uk

The chef and brewer will both be about all night and are very happy to chat about the food and drink on offer.

Pop in and get fed on Friday night – you might not want to leave!

Meet The Brewer at The Nightingale, Balham

We are going to be giving a talk at Mason & Taylor as well as a taking over all the taps. The night starts at 19:00 on Wednesday the 5th September.

An opportunity to meet the Brewers from East London’s newest brewery, Hackney Brewery, and to sample their range of great cask and bottled beers. You can sample their beers including their Best Bitter 4.4%, Golden Ale 4%, American Pale Ale 4.5% as well as a limited edition small batch new release ‘Irish Red’.
