Kegs are ready!

After a busy summer doubling the capacity of the brewery we’ve finally got our kegged beers ready. We’ve started with a range of three beers: Session IPA – 4.1% – Bags of hops and big flavours, this beer will have you coming back again and again. Citra-Amarillo – 5.0% – Big, hoppy pale with hints of tropical fruit. We’re still working on the name! American IPA – 5.5% – Big US hops and a tasty malt base. Careful though – it goes down easy. We made the final – Roux Brew

We’re proud to say that we’re in the last five London breweries to make it through to the final of a competition to create a ‘Roux Brew’ to be paired with food during the Summer at Le Gavroche, Roux at the Landau and Roux at Parliament square. The final blind-tasting is tomorrow at Roux at Parliament square where Michel Roux Jr, Albert Roux, David Galetti and Greg Wallace will be deciding on the winning beer to be listed in the restaurants from April until the end of September.  We’ll let you know how we get on!...

We’re a London Living Wage Employer!

Joining our friends over at Five Points Brewery we’re now an accredited London Living Wage employers. The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually, based on the cost living in the UK. The Living Wage campaign has been running for ten years and has lifted over 10,000 people out of poverty. An independent study of the business benefits of implementing a Living Wage policy in London found that more than 80% of employers believe that the Living Wage had enhanced the quality of the work of their staff, while...

New Zealand Pale Ale now available

Last month some of you may have seen our New Zealand Pale Ale out and about. A balanced, fruity pale ale brewed using a blend of all New Zealand hops including Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka. Hello Spring!

Hello Spring!

When we first started home brewing in London we were using some hops grown in our back garden.  The hops recently started poking their shoots through the grass again so we dug a few up and have planted them outside the brewery along with some hops given to us by @HackneyHopGrow.  Fingers crossed for a fine summer and come September you might just see a green-hopped beer with the most locally sourced hops possible!
